Overview
We delivered full asset decommissioning engineering and project management for OMV Petrom’s Sinoe Field – the first offshore decommissioning project in Romania. Our integrated team combined wells, subsea and facilities expertise to achieve Concept Select and regulatory readiness at pace.
Challenge
The Sinoe platform (PFS‑8) is normally unmanned with limited deck space and no utilities, creating significant access and removal constraints. Added to this were tight timelines, environmental sensitivities and complex permitting requirements in the Romanian Black Sea.
Solution
We deployed an integrated organisation across Well Engineering, Decom Solutions and Subsurface to deliver a robust Concept Select package, permitting roadmap and costed execution schedule. Early supply chain engagement and innovative logistics planning ensured delivery on time and within budget.
